In France criminal offences are judged by three different types of court depending on their gravity:
• le Tribunal de Police;
• le Tribunal Correctionnel;
• la Cour d’Assis.
TheCour d’Assissits with a jury, it judges the most serious types of offence. On the other end of the scale, the Tribunal de Police deals with petty contraventions such as motoring offences and minor assaults.
Clients can be assisted before all three criminal jurisdictions.
